Rare Vintage Designer Peter Rabbit Blue Lumbar 17 x 21 Pillow with Down Feather Insert

This charming print was created by Jane Churchill for Dragons of London, the famed nursery furniture boutique in Knightsbridge, frequented by the royal and the well-heeled. Difficult to find, we located this pristine vintage textile from a collector in London. On this remnant Ms. Churchill depicts the beloved characters – Peter Rabbit, Benjamin Bunny, Mrs. Rabbit, Mr. Jeremy Fisher, and Jemima Puddle-Duck - following the original Beatrix Potter illustrations. The sweet palette uses pastel shades of sky blue, pear green and rosy pink for the characters’ wardrobes, on a soft white and blue ground that loosely sketches the lanes near Mr. MacGregor’s Garden. On the flip side is a charming windowpane check in sky blue and pear green on a warm white ground, with sweet little thread knots at the intersections. The French blue brush trim highlights the overall feeling of softness. Create a cozy reading nook for your favorite little reader.
