Rare Vintage Designer Alice in Wonderland Blue Oversize 20 x 36 Pillow with Down Feather Insert

Very difficult to source in the Provencal Blue colorway, we found this pristine vintage Alice in Wonderland print in London. The design was created by the fabulous Jane Churchill for Colefax & Fowler, following the original Lord Tenniel illustrations. Perfect for the head of a twin sized bed, the size allows for the depiction of many of the characters - Alice, the Mad Hatter, the Duchess, the Footman, and just peeking in on the edges, the Cheshire Cat, and the Rabbit. It is a gorgeous palette on a lovely rich Provencal blue background with happy shades of reds, pinks, greens, and yellows. On the flip side is a charming windowpane check in Provencal blue and marigold yellow on a warm white ground, with sweet little thread knots at the intersections. The ric rac trim in marigold yellow adds a playful pop of color to outline the scene. Create a soft, cozy spot to read in bed. Perfect for a girl’s room and all fans of Alice.
